		<description>Actually, the original Ext filesystem was quite bad when it came to fragmentation.. Obviously, ext2 solved most of that problem.</description>

		<description>Per what flameeyes said, the Linux filesystems can fragment a lot. There is a ext2 defrag tool, e2defrag, never updated for ext3. XFS has xfs_fsr. The Namesys site discusses a defrag tool for reiserfs created for a paying customer, but the lists said just doing a tar, rm, untar got you the same benefit faster.</description>

		<description>Actually, ext3 and XFS at least fragment quite a bit, to the point that XFS _does_ have tools to defragment a filesystem. On the other hand, none of those fragment on a scale as large as NTFS's.

And btw, using JFFS2 on a flash USB device is not that easy, last time I tried it needed MTD support, which ain't funny to enable on an user system.</description>
