Recently I’ve been going through my own hell of sorts, having a hard time juggling 50+ hours a week at work, quality time with my girlfriend and also freelance work on the side. On top of all this, I am in the midst of applying for a new visa in an increasingly more difficult country to gain clearance.

It’d be crazy of you now, after spending so many years, and so much money just to leave it all behind for the Centre Stink queue. At the same time, I know if you were to do another semester you might just end up completely burning out or doing something nobody wants to see you do. Maybe you need to take a semester or an entire year off, get some work, maybe related to the things you’ve been studying. Try and get some low-stress work, and by the end of the time off, you’ll have more experience to put in the CV, a lot less anxiety and stress, and paid off some of your HECS all in one. Yes, it may stretch the time it’s taken you to achieve this degree, but I think if you stand back and do something else for a little bit, your will and desire to see this through might be restored.
